Type of Information Collected:

When you visit this site, we may collect certain non-personal information such as your Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, operating system, browser type, and Internet service provider.  This type of information does not identify you personally.  For us to collect personal information such as your name, mailing address, email address, zip code or information regarding a health condition (“Personal Information”) you have to provide it to us via email or the “Contact Us” link.

We use a third-party credit card processing company for donations,and other third-party companies to monitor site trafficwhich may in some instances store your information.  Because we use a third-party credit card processing company, we do not store information such as credit card numbers or bank account information.

We use third-party service providers to process donations you make and our website may contain links to other sites.  If you click on these links, you leave our site. We also use a third-party service provider, Infusionsoft, to help us create our e-newsletters and other marketing materials.  This service provider allows us to build and manage our email lists.  We provide certain Personal Information, such as name and email address, to Infusionsoft to create our listserv and email marketing materials.  We provide this information only as such disclosure is reasonably necessary to provide you with Epidemic Answers’ newsletters and other informational material.  Your Personal Information will be stored in accordance with Infusionsoft’s privacy policy, and we strongly encourage you to review this policy carefully.  If you do not wish to have us share your Personal Information with Infusionsoft, you must follow the instructions described in the “Your Choice” section of this Privacy Policy.

How Your Information is Used

We may use your Personal Information to:

  • Contact you regarding news or events that may be of interest.
  • Provide you with newsletters or informational material.
  • Monitor user activity, such as keyword searches, to more effectively manage traffic on our site.
  • Assist you with technical difficulties.
  • Promote success stories related to Epidemic Answers’s mission.

We recognize that protecting your privacy is important to you.  For this reason, we are committed to protecting your Personal Information in a variety of ways.  We do not directly process any payments and do not store your credit card information.  We keep information in a database managed by Infusionsoft in accordance with their privacy policy.  By visiting our web site and providing us with data, you acknowledge and agree that we may use the data collected in the course of our relationship for the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy.

We have taken certain security protections in safeguarding your Personal Information.  However, no method is 100% safe.  While we strive to use a commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its security.  Therefore, we assume no liability regarding the theft, loss, alteration or misuse of personal or other information, including without limitation such information that we have provided to third parties, or with regards to the failure of a third party to abide by the privacy policy or agreement between us and a third party.

You may participate in our blog or utilize our discussion group feature via hyperlinks.  You can also post messages on Epidemic Answers social media accounts.  Our blog, discussion group and social media accounts are hosted by third party vendors and are governed by the privacy policies and terms of use of such third parties.  We strongly discourage you from posting any information on these features that you do not want others to see.

Your Choice

If you provide us with your Personal Information, we may send you certain notifications, newsletters or brochures.  In order to opt-out of receiving our newsletters, you should click on the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of our newsletters.

We may also send you any legally required notifications and certain notifications, including but not limited to, service related notices or notices regarding a change to any of our policies.
